The infamous Honorbuddy bot plaguing World of Warcraft appears to have been beaten.
Blizzard didn't name Honorbuddy specifically but said, in a post on the WOW forum (via Gamespot), 'We've recently taken action against a large number of World of Warcraft accounts that were found to be using third-party programs that automate gameplay, known as 'bots'.'
On the Honorbuddy forum, however, there's a post by staff member Bossland that reads like an admission of defeat.

'We are sorry for all your lost WOW Accounts, hopefully you can use them again after the 6 months ban is lifted. I have read here in the forums a bit, a lot of the accounts where 10 years old. This is a pity. We always say, do not use your valuable accounts as the risk is always there.

Honorbuddy is a program that offers automated control of your WOW character, allowing people to leave their computer while their character harvests resources or even fights in battles to earn - or farm - reputation. It's a paid-for tool that the Honorbuddy website says has 200,000 registered accounts.

This apparent Honorbuddy detection strikes yet another blow in recent months against outlawed activity in World of Warcraft. There was the WOW Token that introduced a legitimate way for players to buy gold, and there was the paid level-90 character boost to skip all that levelling.
It means Blizzard is attacking from both sides, by undermining black market alternatives while simultaneously policing the methods that sustain it.

A couple of weeks ago, I found a working version of Honorbuddy for wow 3.3.5, including a guide written in russian.
I have now translated this into understandable English. The links are tested and there is no virus.
I posted this in another thread previously, but decided to create a new thread where everything is collected.
Please post profiles, plugins or whatever you have here. You're free to ask for help in this thread as well.
Before you go ahead, know that this bot only works with Windows 7 or lower.
If you're running a later OS, you can install vmware and configure an instance of Windows 7 there.

Installation:1. Download the bot and meshes: Download
2. Download XAMPP: Download Xampp
3. Install XAMPP
4. Extract HB anywhere and move the files inside the htdocs folder into the xampp htdocs folder. (xampphtdocs)
5. Find the file: C:WindowsSystem32driversetchosts
6. Open the file and add the following lines (If you have any text in there, just add these lines below)
127.0.0.1 www.buddynav.de
127.0.0.1 nav.buddyauthcn.com
7. Save the changes. (If you can't save, drag the file to your desktop, make the changes and put it back)
8. Start XAMPP. Exit skype or any other programs that may interfere with port 80.
9. Extract the meshes anywhere. (Example: C:meshes)
10. Start Honorbuddy with administrator rights.
11. Open the second tab in the bot and change where the meshes are located.
